Loss Prevention Officer (P&I club) – London – Permanent – £50,000 – £60,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen at a leading P&I club in London for a Loss Prevention Officer to oversee the clubs condition survey programme.
On behalf of the clubs members, you will be responsible for appointing external surveyors, and subsequently monitoring progress and evaluating survey reports to ultimately advise whether a vessel is of the required condition for its insurance. You will liaise with the Underwriters, broker and members regarding, deficiencies, action that needs to be taken and also on claims caused by defects.
The ideal candidate will have seagoing experience. This can be at a junior rank but will ideally be as an Marine Engineer to ensure you have sound technical knowledge. Marine Deck officers can also apply if you have good understanding of condition surveys and P&I insurance.
