Marine Superintendent (Chemical) – Permanent – Netherlands – Competitive package

This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable ship management company based in Amsterdam.
They manage a fleet of Chemical tankers and are growing in fleet size and therefore looking to add an experienced Chemical Marine Superintendent.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for designated vessels as to ensure vessel is at all times ready to perform in accordance with pool and/or TC terms and conditions and is kept on the highest company and industry standards.
  • Supports the Marine Managers in overall business procedures, customers and internal/external assurance.
  • Ensure all procedures are done according to our company safety procedures.
  • Maintains the safety system and ensure this is in line with the national and international regulations and the oil major vetting requirements.
  • Marine superintendent applies ‘hands on’ method to follow adequately fleet’ vessels vetting around the clock readiness and compliance, ensure proper pre-inspection, routine inspections positive results in order to achieve company KPI’s and continually improve fleet results against industry benchmark.
  • Responsible for ensuring safe and correct working conditions onboard and in the office. Working in a multi-national environment, the official language will be English.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum Chief Mate STCW Reg. ii/2 Unlimited
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as Captain or Chief Officer on chemical tankers
  • At least 1 year experience of working ashore as marine/vetting superintendent
  • Must have a high level of commitment in order to meet the demanding workload
  • Ability to work under pressure and 24/7 availability
  • Must have the right to live and work in the EU
