Hotel Superintendent (Cruise) – Permanent – Southampton – Competitive package

This is an excellent opportunity to join a global shipping company based in their Southampton office.

Responsibility for maintenance and upkeep of hotel accommodation areas in constant co-operation with the relevant Fleet and HSEQ Superintendents and Managers and the Client’s Hotel Operations representative

Responsibilities include:

  • Plans, controls and executes activities related to maintenance, modification and upgrades in:
    Deck areas
  • Verifies and approves ship’s requisitions for spares, materials, services and consumables within his/her area of responsibilities. He/she co-operates with the Purchasing Staff for evaluation of suppliers, new products proposals and development of new resources
  • Planning, preparation, coordination and project management for ship Guest & Crew facing areas for refits, dry and wet docks within the Hotel and Crew areas
  • Oversee the Hotel maintenance system giving support to the ships teams and guiding where necessary Provide expertise and guidance, viable solutions and corrective actions to address issues on-board
  • Provide world class facilities maintenance support working closely with the on-board teams and Technical Managers ashore

Experience Required:

  • Naval Architect or Interior Decorator
  • Specific know-how and experience in the hoteling field
  • A talented senior manager, preferably with a proven track record of working in the cruise industry, either on or offshore
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Strong knowledge of SOLAS, Flag and Class requirements
  • Flexibility to travel as required
