Master – AHV

The Master will have full authority and responsibility for taking all necessary actions for safety, pollution prevention and efficient operation of the ship. The Master will also be responsible for leading a team of people which involves both engagement and development through the Company Values, Behaviours and Performance Framework.


  • Promote a strong safety culture – Safe Out, Safe Home
  • Ensure all work is conducted in full compliance with Company Health, Safety and Environmental Policies, associated safety regulations and good industry practice
  • Responsible for onboard budgetary control with regards to victualling and consumable items
  • Economical speed of the ship for most cost-effective fuel usage
  • Develop staff within the Performance Management Framework
  • Manage team in line with Company absence management policy and procedures
  • Reinforce Company and Client communications
  • Issuing orders in a clear and concise manner and reviewing safety and pollution prevention activities
  • Conduct and ensure adherence to operational processes and procedures to meet Company and client standards
  • Consult with Central Support and Technical teams where appropriate


  • COC Master II/2 3000GT unrestricted.
  • STCW Advanced Firefighting and Fire Prevention
  • STCW Personal Survival Techniques
  • STCW Proficiency in Survival craft and rescue boats
  • STCW Medical care on board ships certificate
  • GMDSS Radio Operators
  • Radar and ARPA certification
  • STCW Personal safety and Social responsibility certificates
  • ECDIS certificate
  • Proficiency in designated security duties
  • Ship security officer certificate
  • Unrestricted ENG1 Seafarers medical
